US Privacy Notice
Last updated: August 2026
This notice is for visitors in the United States. In the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland? Read our EU Privacy Policy.
This notice explains how Starlife Technologies, Inc. ("Starlife," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information on our website at starlife.ai — for people who visit the site, ask us for a demo, or apply for a job.
At a glance
- We collect what you send us through a form (your email, and anything you add) and the basic technical data every website receives.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control.
- You can access, correct, or delete your information by emailing [email protected].
1. Who we are and how to reach us
The website is run by:
Starlife Technologies, Inc.
418 Broadway #11385
Albany, NY 12207, USA
[email protected]
2. What we collect, and why
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you and from your device, for the purposes shown, and kept them for the periods shown. We do not sell or share any of them.
| Category | Examples | Source | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email address, IP address, device and browser identifiers | You; your device | Reply to your enquiry; operate and secure the site | Enquiries: up to 24 months after last contact. Logs: up to 30 days |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, usage events, a session recording of your visit | Your device, if you accept analytics | Understand and improve how the site is used | Up to 12 months |
| Approximate location | The general area derived from your IP address | Your device | Analytics; site security | With analytics or logs above |
| Professional information | The details and documents you submit when you apply for a job | You | Assess your job application | Up to 6 months after a decision, or longer with your consent |
3. Cookies and analytics
Beyond what is strictly necessary to run the site, we use one analytics tool, PostHog, to see how the site is used. You can turn it off at any time through the "Cookies" link in the footer, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Our video embeds load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain and only when you press play.
4. Job applicants
Our careers page shows open roles through a third-party recruiting tool (Polymer). When you apply, the details and documents you submit are processed to assess your application, and kept for up to six months after a decision unless you agree to us keeping them longer.
5. Who we share information with
We use a small set of service providers to run the website — Railway and Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), Formspree (the demo form), PostHog (analytics, only after you accept it), and Polymer (job applications). They may use the information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
6. Do not sell or share; your choices
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to provide the site. Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of — but we still honor an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control if your browser sends one.
7. Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, and access it;
- delete it;
- correct it; and
- opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" (we do neither).
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We respond within 45 days, and may need to verify your identity first. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
8. Children
The site is meant for a general, adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as our practices evolve; the current version always lives here, with its date at the top. Questions or requests go to [email protected].
